With a B.A. in the Visual Arts, my design point of view (POV) has always been focused on exploring connections between different creative practices.
Sources of inspiration outside of architecture and design include street art, food, travel, fashion, film & music. I love seeing how color palettes from fashion show up in furniture, or how food trends influence communal space design, etc.
The most successful design teams that I have participated in also rely on being inspired by the creativity of others. The more diverse the background of the team from the very beginning (architects, designers, engineers, artists, end users), the more well-rounded the design solution is for the client.
